Creative Challenges

It can be challenging to be a creative writer.  Often, we spend our writing time staring at a blank page or quickly distracting ourselves with checking our e-mails or seeing what our friends are doing on Facebook or Instagram. When trying to write something, sometimes it’s good to have something we can work with.

The following, then, are some neat writing forms you can use to help stimulate your creativity:

  1. Blackout poetry
  2. Haiku
  3. Hint fiction

Each of these forms of writing (fiction or poetry) is short and has different rules and requirements.  Feel free to send us any, either through the contact form or by e-mail (lvyoungwriters@gmail.com).  We’ll evaluate what you’ve written and, if we like it, we’ll post it on the blog.  Enjoy!
